A bacon sandwich is good at anytime but summer and specially August is the best time for BLT's(Bacon Lettuce Tomato).At the 5th Anual Tomato fest in St. Louis Tom Caghill along with 90 other volunteers have broken the record for the biggest BLT by putting together a BLT that streches a whopping 179 feet and is two inches thick.500 pounds of bacon,1280 pounds of tomato and 100 heads of lettuce were used to produce this record breaking BLT sandwich.
